Alice of Rome
The war between Amercia and Rufrica has ended. Amercia lost.
This is where we come in.
A woman is the last survivor(cheezy, I know.). She finds a woman who is graceful but mighty.
Alice.
Alice is from a foreign place called Rome. She helps the woman to get all the way to the outskirts of a city of sanctuary where she can stay, but Alice gets killed(somehow).
Here is a part that I thought up. It starts from here.
I ran through the ruins, not caring if I got scratched by a twig, or if I got whacked in the face by a branch.I had to get to her.
I got to the center of the ruins, where a large dome surrounded me. The hole in the middle of the ceiling, shone bright light onto a heavenly figure sprawled onto the floor. So perfect with no blemishes, except for a gaping cut in her leg and her blood flowing constantly out of it.
Alice.
I ran to her, skidded to a stop right in front of her and kneeled down to hold her hand. She didn't resist. In fact, she placed the dagger that was in her hand into my hand. I wanted to cry, but I held it back. Instead, I said, "What have they done to you?"
With her last, halting breaths she stared up at me and replied quietly, "It doesn't matter. Continue. Find sanctuary."
I stared at her. Looking into her eyes, wondering what was going on in her mind. She knows I can't do this. I thought. But I knew I would have to finish strong. I can find my way out of this ruin. I can get through this wasteland. I can even get to the sanctuary.
I got up and started to walk away. When I was almost out of sight, I glanced back. Alice was smiling just the slightest bit. Then the sparkle that was always in her eyes clouded over and her smile flattened. I turned away, horrified to see her gone.
But I also had a new courage. A new determination. I walked away thinking of the Alice I once knew and will always remember, the Alice who made me love her from the start. The Alice who would aid me to the end, even if it meant her end.
The brave, the beautiful, Alice of Rome.
