Poetry
This is the section where--guess what--poetry goes!
First One!
Okay, first entry
Let's put in something awesome
How about a rhyme
Or how about two
Or maybe something simple
Something somewhat like...
A Haiku?

Truth in
Every word I
Absorb
'Cause
He/She is
Everything
Rightfully
Sincere about learning.

Flowers
Planted,watered, cared for
Growing with stalk and much more
Beauty growing out of the dirt
The top looking like an upside-down skirt

Everything
From french horns
To french fries
From all truth
To all lies
Everything's amazing
For God made it so
From the highest of heights
To the lowest of low
So enjoy your day
However bad it may seem
For God made it that way
For both you and me

Birthdays
Birthdays can be fun for some
But the fun has only begun
When you eat the first bite of cake
Then come all the things you celebrate
On your little or long-lasting birthday
At least for the cake, I must stay!

Dengue
Dengue is dengue
But it isn't friendly
If only you could pull a lever
That could take away all the fever
Or just run a tiny dash
That would take away all the rash
What if you could just hug a hen?
And feel so much healthier again?
Dengue is dengue
And it is still not friendly

Trees
Trees are beautiful
They give us our oxygen
They are a blessing

Relaxation and
Sweets or bubble baths are not
A thing compared to
~Abigail(July 1, 2013)
(Sorry for the abrupt ending. In a Haiku you have to be careful of the syllables.)

Cars
Whether big or small
or the short to tall
Whether green or grey
You might as well say hey!
Because Whether wrecked or new
If in it you spilled your stew.
It will still go far
Because this is your car.

With Me
I woke up this morning
And you weren't there.
I had a fun day today
But I didn't care.
Because I went to bed tonight
And the bedroom wasn't shared.
I woke up this morning
And you weren't here.
That was the only thing
That seemed very clear.
Because I went to bed tonight
And you weren't near.
I woke up this morning
And felt very happy.
Unlike the other parts
of this poem that were sappy.
I really, truly, just felt so free.
Because you are here, together
With me.

Christmas
Christmas is a time for joy and peace
A time when happiness will never cease
When people all around exchange great gifts
A joyful time when spirits lift
When Christmas comes and we go away
Where presents lay in plain sight
We're sure Santa came on his sleigh
To make sure Christmas went right

Silly
Just what I am-silly.
All I can be-silly.
But do I want to be-silly?
Well let's find out
Well I don't want to be sad
Though in appropriate times its not bad
But I like when I'm glad
And I think it's just...rad(?)
So that's what i am-silly.
Not all I can be-silly.
What I'd like to be-silly
What about you?

My Printed Paper
I printed a paper
From a printer
Full of ink.
But the paper I printed
Was dirty,
I think.
So I took the printed paper
And placed
In the trash.
But then a thought hit my head.
Quick, and
In a flash.
I retrieved the poor paper
With care
And speed
Then cut three holes into it
And stuck it
to my face.

Mother's Day 2013
Respect our moms
For they are great
The one who love
But never hate
The ones who care
But never dare
To keep secrets;
They always share
Mothers will appreciate
Even if it's not that great
She will always cheer you on
Even though it's ten to one
Moms will love us every day
Even if its shine or rain

Mother's Day 2014
We celebrate our moms today
They've been with us all the way
All through the night
She keeps you in her sight
Even when her hairs turn gray

Finally Home
Another day
at a place that I know
Another day
at where I call home
no need to worry about falafels
or overpriced water bottles
Another day
no where I need to be
Another day
with no more sights to see
I can wander without needing a map
I'm not gonna pay for a tourist trap
Another day
that I can stay sane
Another day
that it could possibly rain
I don't have to sit in a car for hours
I can use up that time taking super long showers
Another day
with no need to take a picture
Another day
everything around me's familiar
no more sheqels as currency
Philippine currency's all I see
Another day
and I don't need to pack
Another day
and I'm finally back
'cause, really, no matter where I go
this is where my heart is, so this is my home

Steps (Miles)
The world around me is running
jogging
walking
so fast that I feel I'm crawling
trying to catch up
but falling just a bit short
I want to stop
and rest
and think
but everyone else is moving
so much faster than me
that it's dizzying
can I just rest?
is that the way the world works?
running too fast to look behind
and face things that they've done
or seen
or experienced?
is it possible to stop
If for just a moment
and let others pass by in their rush
bumping into you
just so that you can think
of what's happened in life
of what's been done and what hasn't been done?
Just to stop and take a breath of fresh air.
because after so many miles of running,
a little bit of rest would be nice.
